I am typing this for my family. We moved from utah to Georgia for a "big" job. Once we got here I learned that the company had closed and filed for bankruptcy leaving us stranded. I have put in about 4 hundred applications and can not find a job even at McDonalds. I have a choice of 2 jobs back in Utah. But we do not have the money to get there. It is my wife( 3 months pregnant with type 2 diabetes), myself and our 6 children. We need to get back a.s.a.p. Churches have been helping with our bills and cannot do so anymore because of large number of requests for assistance. We will be homeless by the end of January. Landlord can not work with us anymore.
I will break down what we need:
Fuel : $1000 (we have a full size s.u.v. and gets 6 miles to the gallon pulling a loaded trailer)
Motel : $150 (2 nights stay)
Food : $100 (we will eat sandwiches)
1st months rent and deposits : $1800 (this covers all deposits for utilities)
New battery and new tires for truck : $600 We were stopped at a safaty checkpoint and told that our tires did not meet required tread for the state and must get them replaced. Battery went out when cold snap hit from a dead cell)
If anyone can help we would be more than grateful.
You do not need to send cash. Send Pre-paid gas cards, food gift cards and pre-paid visa cards. You will get a receipt that you can use for a charitable donation deduction. We will also send a receipt. We will pay anything sent back as soon as possible. We would not ask, but we are desperate and have nowhere to turn. Neither of our families can help( parents on S.S.I.) and we don't know what to do anything will help.
